Impression is a commentary on the standard of beauty as defined by our society. Justin captures female bodies as they remove items of clothing that leave imprints on the skin, a mark of discomfort in the clothes, and perhaps the women's own skin. He says, "It interested me that so many women would wear binding or uncomfortable clothing to either impress or attract others, or for their own self-esteem." Each image is named after an actual headline from real life fashion magazines, a further comment on how women's fashion choices can be manipulated by the media.
