Beefcakes
Beefcakes is a series of nude self portraits depicting a relationship between cattle and the human form. Anne believes that cattle are worth more than they are purposed for, their meat or milk; the same could be said of a woman. The images address the idea of society's need for overconsumption; in this context, the female body and the beef of a cow. Anne explores the identity of the cattle, and her own identity as a young woman, by intertwining the forms and creating one focused composition.
